Animated Rooms
Students created 3D rooms and then manipulated the camera and added movement. The image on the left shows how changing camera settings can create an isometric effect. The videos on the right show moving assets seen through an animated camera. The challenge was to move the camera to focus on one motion at a time.  This requires an understanding of pacing and staging.
3D Characters
Students in 3D Modeling for Art and Animation created rigged figures. Some sections of the class placed their characters in a setting while other sections created turntables to show the character from all sides.
storyboarding
students created a storyboard for video or graphic novel pages. using text from Shakespeare or the bible, they created a shot list and sketched out the scenes. Page layout was particularly important for graphic novel pages while camera views were important for video storyboards.
